Help for a friend w/a Sony a100

I a friend of mine shots with a Sony A100 and his birthday is coming up. His wofe called and said she wants to get him a fish eye lens sense he always enjoys my DA10-17 shots ;-)

Anyone make a suggestion on where to purchase or what type he should get? Am I mistaken in thinking the Sony mount is compatible with Pentax mount?

Pentax and Sony mounts are two different animals.

I don't think there currently is any fish-eye zoom for Sony mount. There are some fish-eye prime lenses, however.

Sigma makes a 15mm and other fisheyes in an alpha mount. They aren't cheap though. I checked on Tokina because the Pentax DA 10-17 FE is virtually identical to the Tokina version. But they only make it in Canon and Nikon mounts.

One other possibility are these Russian MF lenses.

A K5 with a 10-17 might make a nice gift.

You can mount Minolta lenses on Sony DSLRs (Sony took over the Minolta technology). Perhaps you can find a Minolta fisheye lens, such as the 16/2.8?
