"Pentax K-5" a questionable mention.

While browsing chinasmack, I found those pictures taken on the mourning after the fire who killed dozens of people in Shangha this week:

Shanghai 11.15 Jing An Fire Memorials, City Residents Mourn – chinaSMACK

I find the mention of the camera more than questionable in this situation. Don't you think so?

I'm not a fan of including such ostentation on photos to begin with. All the more so since neither photo is of a quality to deserve the effort of adding text ornamentation. And it isn't as though the photos reflect well on the K-5. I get the idea the photographer makes a conscious effort when composing his shots to be sure to leave a nice big space to add his logo in post-processing. I have little enough tolerance for warranted narcissism and none whatsoever for unwarranted narcissism.

It's quite possible that if my photo credits were set up in some batch kind of way, that I wouldn't be thinking much about the details in an emotional/important moment.

So, I dunno. Be fair.

Even if it is understandable due to batch-editing; a little more care could have gone into these given the nature of the subject...and because having the words/markings on the photo detracts from the mood and intent in some way I think.

I think it especially offensive given the degree to which the signature dominates each of the photos. I find this to be most true in the first image: this is the one photo in the three posted here that visibly shows that this is a memorial vigil, and yet it is so gently exposed that the vibrant, GIGANTIC signature commands the 90% of your attention that should be on that little candle instead.
