How many cameras do you carry?

How many cameras do you carry when travelling and with which lenses?

Just curious, I have two and I carry Sigma 10-20mm and Tamron 70-200mm and wish I could carry one more for my FA35/2

I avoid changing lenses on travel.

Yusuf

In bags:
Bag 1- 15,21,24,31,35,40,50,55,70,100(macro), 60-250
bag 2- 300, 400, 600 plus a spare body.

I'll choose what my Sherpa will carry based on what I expect. Generally, if it's a nature walk, my Rottie is carrying 4-6 lenses, generally, the 15, 21, 35, 50, 70, and 60-250.
I carry the camera on a tripod with a lens mounted (one of the ones listed above will be on the camera, though I generally don't carry the 60-250 for long).
Anything from bag 2 isn't carried far, generally pretty close to the car. I don't have a good system for the dog pack with the bigger lenses and the tripod I use for that equipment is quite large as well.

I used to carry multiple bodies and lenses and all kinds of accessories. It got to the point where I felt more like a baggage handler than a photographer.

Now I carry one body and two lenses that cover 18-300. It is so refreshing to just grab and go with a kit that probably weighs less than my wife's purse.

And...I always have a tripod in the car if I need it.

Almost the same setup... Kx+10-20 / K10d+DA40, with a spare DA 18-55 and 50-200. I probably should trade it up to 18-135 or 55-300 since the 50-200 sucks at 200 anyway

This year my kit will consist of a SMC Pentax-F 35-135, a DA L 18-55, and a DA L 55-300. I might try to squeeze the ZX-7 or P30T into the bag on occasion with a lens or two. If I need a low light lens it will be the Super-Tak 50 1.4 8-element.

the Dog pack is a great idea, not sure my cattle dog would be sedate enough for it though, rotties are pretty docile most of the time (dependent on the owner of course)

For travel? Last vacation, I took my K1000 and my old Finepix F-700 with under water housing.

Two, pretty much. Film-heavy would be the old Canons and probably my Lumix FZ-7, digital-heavy'll be the K20d with at least an ME Super body tucked in there somewhere. Various combinations between there.

Especially when they're that small, it'd be pretty silly for me to not at least carry a film body (Which I don't like to be without, anyway,) for backup. Nothing's more frustrating than finding 'I can't make images' if a battery runs down or something.

Always 2 minimum

In the film days it was two different films. Now I carry with 2 different lenses. If I am shooting wildlife I have one on a tripod for really long shots and another usually shorter for either wildlife or scenics. On vacations usually one with a 10-20 and the other with a 28-75. With specialty lenses like fisheye or 85 f 1.4 in the bag

Two current bodies are k10 and k7. But I also have an *istD if I need to have TTL flash plus a PZ1 KX and Ricoh XR2s if I need film
