You have to ask yourself if you would be comfortable going from a 15mm (film) equivalent to at most/least a 24mm or so.

I have a typical p&s camera and in good light it can take nice landscape pictures with its 24-300mm equivalent lens. But, it doesn't have the same perspective as that 10-20mm on a 1.5x sensor body.
