Remote trigger vs onboard k-x wireless trigger

I'm just looking for benefits of using a remote trigger to fire off camera flash(es).

I already have a Flash Waves III trigger and receiver, and now that I've purchased two 360FGZ flashes, I bought another receiver. I already have a 360FTZ flash, which I believe didn't have an interface to be triggered wirelessly through my K-x, but the 360FGZ's do.

The only benefit I can see for using a remote trigger as opposed to the onboard wireless trigger is possibly range and not needing line of site to fire the flash. Can the k-x fire multiple flashes without the use of a remote trigger?

Thanks!

I use Cactus 4 remotes and triggers. You can get 2 triggers and the remote for about 40 bucks. Its a no brainer. Currently I'm firing 3 strobes with that system on the K-X

yeah, I remember reading about them. not bad for the price from what i've heard, although I know there were complaints about the quality of the materials used, but you can't expect a whole lot at that price point. I am certainly happy with my flashwave III's...just wonder if it's even worth buying flash triggers if the k-x can fire off-camera flashes natively.

The remote system of the K-x would limit you by distance and line of site.
