Check out the following link - it has a few shots taken at night using IR. > INFRARED PHOTOGRAPHY - This Night Life

I have been getting into IR photography recently and was going to give it a try.

here's an example:

Buddha, here's a pic I took of (obviously) the Mohawk theater in infared. K110D and Hoya R72 filter.

(30 sec. at f5.6 with the 18-55 lens)

Attachment 5550

Hope that helps.

Here's a shot from my sony v1 pea shooter which I got used hoping to use its Nightshot. The problem is that Sony forces you to use only Green Auto or Program (shift ability stripped, no MF and AF was walking blind). So I was literally PnSing. But here's one late night. Its a direct copy and resize so EXIF should be preserved.

Its pretty grainy and a little blurry ..1sec handheld haha...The moon is pretty much burnt out haha.

I haven't tried Night IR on dSLR.

I have recently tried some IR shots at night and have had pretty good luck. Exposures are long, but I get some pretty interesting effects.

The San Mateo Bridge taken after sunset,
Pentax K100D, 18-55mm, Hoya R72, 20 sec, f4.5, iso 400.

IR

you will want to use the K110 instead of the K10 as i understand it the 110 sensor is more sensetive to IR than the one on the k10. You can also have the sensor replaced on one of your cameras if you really get into IR and this will make it able to take IR pics without the very long delays with a filter
