Latest rumor has it that Cooper has recently shown interest in moving up to a DSLR. Naturally, he seems to have narrowed his choice down to the appropriately ultra compact Pentax KX/40mm pancake combo.
In a related sidebar, it's also been whispered in certain hallowed halls that he has been actively perusing our site for info & inspiration, even toying with the idea of joining up!

Nah, not a DSLR. Too heavy to carry about. Cats only weigh so much you know! They're not DOGS! DSLR's can be heavy with a lens on. He can't very well carry a camera that's 1/2 to 2/3 his own weight comfortably. I have it on good authority that he's just waiting for Pentax to come out with a micro camera that can change lenses. He needs truly portable and lenses and that means a micro in in order!

;p

I heard the rumor the cat will help introduce the next level of digital cameras called CD-slr's (Compact Digital SLR). The cameras are designed around the cats paws to allow rapid lens changes. Can't resist seeing some of his work of the sites photo section. lol!!

I doubt it, about the only action my cat sees, between the occasional trips to the food bowl, is when he rolls over while sleeping.

I am not sure seeing the right side of his kitty bed, then the left, and with chances occasionally the ceiling, would be all that interesting.

My impression is that he sleeps for 22 hours a day.

Andy Warhol's most famous film, "Sleep" (a 5 hour fun fest), anticipated your cat's creative strengths. If you could somehow get him to channel his views through photographic means, you could have something there in the form of the next abstract phenomenon. At the very least, other cats would probably enjoy the resulting photographic depictions.
