Micro k ?

I was wondering if Pentax had any digital cameras without a mirror that accepted K mount lenses? Would be nice to have a camera body for those times when you say want 1/4000th shutter speed AND the flash

The answer: no. See the camera reviews here: [ All Pentax Cameras ]

Rumours abound of an upcoming K-EVIL/MILC. Rumours also abound of UFOs. Rumours are fun, eh?

There are mirror-less cameras that accept K-mount lenses on the market today.

For example, take one of these

Add one of these

and then you use your Pentax lenses

There is also the Samsung NX100, which is mirrorless and uses the same sensor as the K20D. 1/4000 shutter speed, flash up to 1/200. I've ben using lots of old lenses on it lately, m42 adapted to K, as well as K mount. Looking to get an FD adapter, too, for some good old fashioned FD mounted lenses. FUN!

The closest one is the samsung. However the oem adapter goes for like $300. The m4/3 variants require fully manual usage. However tge rumoured k mount mirrorless made by pentax should support k mount in complete operation but nothing is certain and its only rumors

The most appealing MILC that I've read of is the Sony NEX, which can host PK-M42, L39-Leica, Nikon, Canon, Sony-Minolta, Petri, Exakta, you name it. All manual, of course. But unless Pentax comes out with a full APS-C (or FF!) MILC that beats it, NEX is next for me.

Shooting wide open with the DA 40 and 21 ltd gets old but the K 28/2 and FA 77/1.8 rock on the e-p1.
