Answer this question: Why Do You Love Photography?

I'm looking for 50 answers to this question to put into a web video I am creating. Tell me why YOU love photography and you're quote could end up in the video! So let me hear it!

Answer: Because it encourages me to take the time to really look at things closely. I tend to walk quickly when I'm headed somewhere, but with a camera I walk much slower and the trip becomes more about what I see along the way.

I kept it short so you can fit 50 into your video. Let me know if you want more explanation of my answer.

My simplest answers photography lets you capture the momment. While videos only lets you capture the actions and reactions of an event.

I just feel good taking aim and clicking. It's relaxing, and I'm obsessive about it. Then there's the pictures themselves: lovely!

It's my way of doing a painting without paint. I've been told I have a painter's eye but my painting ability just isn't that great. Photography lets me play with light, color, subject, and shape sans the paints.

I love photography because it is an expression of what comes from my heart—a way to show the world (or myself) how I view a subject. It's a way to stop the world down around me and capture a split-second in time that would otherwise easily be forgotten.

I like photography because it allows me to capture places and events and shows how the little changes turn into big changes of the course of time. At the same time, it shows just how little we do change in some ways. It makes one really see some things that most that for granted. I relaxes me and makes me slow down a bit more. It is just plain fun to do!!!
