Windows XP Desktop Wallpaper Image....

OK - I know that it was not taken with a Pentax, but how many other pictures has had so many "viewers".
.... So, how many of you still have this up as your wallpaper?

Does the forum have a PF Wallpaper Library?

If you aren't using one of your own images as your desktop background, you aren't shooting enough. If that is the case, let me know and I'll send you one of mine from the PEG (Just let me know what size).

Hi,
BTW, what's the best size of an image if you want to use it as desktop background?
Thanks.

That rather depends on your screen size, eh? On my 600x800px travel mini-laptop, it matters not. Almost anything can be squeezed to that size. On my 1200x1920 browsing maxi-laptop, I want something either something at least that size (if it's photographic) or much smaller (for jaggy abstracts). So screen size, taste, and your predilection for jarring pictures, will dictate your image sizing. Have fun!

intersting article. As far as wallpapers, though, I rotate thru a large collection of my favorite shots (on most of my machines). On one of the work machines I use a tiled image to fill both monitors (1200x1600x2), on another I keep a static image (1200x1640) of the famous "Earthrise" photo (rotated back to its original correct orientation with Moon on the right, not the bottom).

I totally thought that image was digitally created! I guess I know better now.

That's very interesting. I had wondered about the photo before too. Not a bad gig, now how can I sell one of mine to Microsoft for Windows 8...

For my own wallpapers I usually either use one of my own, or one I like from someone else that has something I want to try and emulate and I rotate them pretty regularly.
