And there you have it. Proof that its not the camera but the monkey using it to get the good photos.

Maybe NatGeo should hire some new photographic staff. Very hairy photographic staff, who can easily work in remote locales. They'll blend right in...

I don't think I've taken a self portrait that good. He's a natural! (or conversely, even a monkey can point the camera and press a button for a good shot)

Are those the only 3 pictures posted, from the 100's taken by the monkey? If so, where's the proof that the monkey took the camera? Where's the picture proof that matches the story? Surely he could show some of the "bad" pictures as proof.

Sorry, I don't believe it.

Here are some more: Black macaque takes self-portrait: Monkey borrows photographer's camera | Mail Online

but I don't think the main concern was proving to skeptics that it happened. Besides, how is "Monkey steals camera and takes self-portraits" magnitudes more interesting than "Holy crap, look how close this guy got to these monkeys"?

Pentax should hire the monkey to be the new global spokesmonkey for the company.

Slogan: DON'T MONKEY AROUND WITH PENTAX!
Or: PENTAX - IT'S NOT JUST MONKEY BUSINESS!
Or: YOU'LL GO APE FOR YOUR NEW PENTAX GXR!

OK, let's have some more suggestions.

But wait -- wasn't the camera a Nikon? Ay yi yi...
