JF: can you post the table with more resolution? I tried to blow it up in PS and I can't read the small letters.

To stop action in a sunny day, we used this formula when I was in school: F16-1/250. The more light, the faster you can shoot (1/500, etc) Also, dont forget that flash also freezes movement.

Ok well heres a bit to think about
If you want something like this picture

you will have to shoot at a slower speed and follow the object at the same speed its moving

If you just want to stop it
Like this (not the greates example as he wasnt moving very fast)

Then you will have to up the speed

Hope this helps you at least a bit
