Some great points regarding naming and organization. Here's my 2 pence. I keep things in an organized filing scheme but then have a separate folder labelled "To Print" and "To Post". The "To Post" file has images that have been adjusted to a smaller file size to fit onto the web pages, etc. The "to Print" file has images I want to have printed, and these I title.

My titling method? What ever strikes me at the time, (River at Morning, Light Through The Trees, etc.). Short sweet and maybe a bit of detail to indicate location (Manhattan Skyline- Sept. 2007). Make it part of your style!

Cheers!

Same as Dave, I have separate folders for print files and web use pictures. I usually don't give them titles, but I do name the ones I save according to subject. IMGP5150.jpg becomes butterfly_1600-55150.jpg. 1600 means I cropped it at 1600x1200, which is usually resized to 1024x768 for web viewing, the added 5 means it's in the 50,000 range not 5000. So that picture (a fictional one) would be picture number 55150 that my camera has taken, cropped at 1600x1200. That way pictures number 35150 and 55150 won't be easily confused at a later date. Names like robber fly are used in this format: robber_fly- to avoid spaces in the file names.

As far as titles go, I've titled very few. So far I haven't seen the need, just for a couple, like one I uploaded to the exclusive gallery titled Barn in Foggy Sunrise. It didn't make it, but if it did I thought a title might be appropriate.
