A new kind of camera

I just came across this article about new lightwave type cameras coming to market supposedly at the end of this year. Take a look and tell me what you think of this idea.

I am in no way associated with this company and only thought as photographers that this would be of interest.

Effectively this at the moment most applies as a possible Cell phone tech. it's most useful for Web and not print currently
The idea has been around a really long time Lytro seems to be the first to come up with a working technology
