In search of scanner

Hi!
I am in search of a scanner. Currently, options are
Canon 8800F and Epson V350.
I've read reviews and some say that Canon is faster, but Epson gives better colours. Resolution is the same.
On the other hand, I've seen a user-review which states that V350 sux big time. I usualy disregard such reviews, but since scanners are not so often reviewed...
I wonder if anyone had experience with either of them.

I've not used either of them, but if you can find one the Epson 4990 is a wonderful scanner- gives me better results than the Fuji scanners that I used at a photolab when I worked as a tech. Color is a lot more accurate.

I have that 4990 as well. Appears to be unavailable now, though.
