Lunar Eclipse Dec 10th

I'm planning my morning to try and get this the best I can. Here in Colorado the moon will be setting in full eclipse, and the sun will be rising all about the same time (7:15am). It has potential to be something very special if it's clear and the sun doesn't wash things out too much.
Anyway, I'll be heading into the hills at "Oh-dark thirty" Saturday morning to see what I can get. It's also an especially unusual event because both the sun and moon will be visible even though they are 180* apart with Earth in the middle due to atmospheric refraction.
More on that here.
In my planning I'm using this really cool tool, The Photographer's Ephemeris to plan my location and direction I want to face.
I'm kind of excited for this! Hopefully it won't be cloudy!

Anyone else got a plan coming together? Get out there and shoot this rare event!

Unfortunately for me the eclipse is happening around midnight (Australia) so I won't see the sun and eclipse together, but on the plus side I don't need to drag myself out of bed at "oh-dark thirty"
It's the rainy season here too but it seems to be off to a slow start so hopefully no cloud cover.

I'll have to check that tool out - looks very cool.

I'm going to go try and check this out. The table near the end of the page is a big help for the different regions. Looks like I don't have to get up as early as I thought. (7:00 looks about good to be out there for 8 am)

Lunar eclipse Dec 2011

Best shots were early in the eclipse (as expected - more light).
This is first quarter.
