I am becoming interested in macro photography.

John Shaw in Close UPS in Nature suggested attaching a Nikon T5 to zoom lenses.

Has anyone used a T5 or something similar ( is there anything) and attahced it to a Pentax DA 18-250?

What were the results?

Such closeup adapters can be used on any lens that they'll fit. Popular adapters include those from Raynox which have 'universal' mounts fitting lenses with thread diameters from 52-67mm. Screw-in closeup adapters like the Nikon, Canon, Tamron and others can be used on lenses of their diameter, or smaller diameters using step rings. EDIT: I just double-checked diameters. I put a 55mm closeup glass on my DA18-250 with step rings and I see no vignetting. So if you have (or obtain) a Nikon or other glass with 55mm or larger diameter, those will work on the 18-250.
