Don't get blinded by the purple fringing!

Magnolia taken with Pentax K2000 with cheezy 100mm diffuser lens...don't get blinded by the purple fringing!

The fringing in the first one really is bothersome, but the second one isn't bad. In fact, its a quite serene shot. Did you try removing the fringing in post?

Second looks awesome, I just stop down a bit and the purple fringing goes away if I have really wild contrasts, never had to edit it out.
