The aperture show be the sharpest one (may be f8, may be f11, depending on the lens) and the shutter speed should be at least numeric equal to your focal length, if you're not using a tripod. If you're using a tripod, probably something like 1/100, 1/150

I am located in Québec, not far from Québec City an I would like to know where the moonrise will be located ... I know it will be a 7:45 tonight but I'm not sure where it will be at that time.
Can someone find out on how to fihure this out?
I'd really like to be in place when it starts rising above the hozizon, when it appears very big.

Thanks,

JP

In Edmonton they are saying the largest is at 9:30 mountain time. Not sure how that applies to Quebec. Do you have a local science center? They would know. (Other than that, I know it will rise in the east.)

Thank you. I will use a tripod for sure. Fingers crossed that it will be a clear night...

JPZK,
Your moon rise will be at 116.71 degrees east of north.
East is 90 degrees. So you would look a little more to the right of that.

Thanks for the heads up. (I was guessing less than 90, so that is great to know!)

Moon rise is 9:15pm in Edmonton. You will want to be watching at 122 degrees azimuth.
