Um...wow...is a bit of an understatement. I can see climbers high up on the mountain and tents too. Very, very cool.

Very cool. I need to try a really big stitched shot some time. I'll just need to find the right subject. I don't think I'll get to 2 gigapixels though...

I listened to this story on NPR's All Things Considered the other day. Fascinating story, fantastic images. The shot with the Everest base camp is interesting. It looks like a small city, and makes me wonder, is there a city hall? A police department? I see there is a hospital tent. And lots of what looks like privy's, surely a luxury that the early explorers did not have.
