I'd like to buy a K10D body from these guys(their online store) but don't know anything about them.

They seem to have a good rating at reseller ratings.com, but I was wondering if anybody had some first hand experience?

Hi,
I haven't bought from Penn online, but they have stores in my area and I've generally had good buying experiences with them. Fair prices, good inventory and fairly knowledgeable personnel, for a chain store.

Thanks, they have the K10 for$599 with free shipping seems to be the best price I could find (from what appears to a legitamate e-tailer)

That's a good price, and if you're settled on the K10d, don't wait too long--they're becoming hard to find since they've been discontinued. Penn has good return policies in-store, so probably also do online.

Have you done any business with Huppins? I was in there a couple of weeks ago looking at a DA* 16-45 they had (for $899 or something, no way I was going to buy it from them) but I asked the girl "What if this lens is defective, could I return it?" She said yes, for a 15% restocking fee! I don't know if she knew what she was talking about or not but at least I got to check out the lens.

Great find on the K10!
The Penn camera folks around here are not informed on Pentax nearly as well as on Nikon or Canon.
The manager insisted that the m42 super tak 50 1.4 would not work on my k100d super, and that I would be bringing it back in a few hours angry! He did not know what he had, and I think I got a good deal on it at $75.
