I don't believe either of the included lenses are automatic focus or auto exposure and that's one of the nice things about new cameras. But you can get an 18-55mm for 50 bucks. Nonetheless, it's fun to use the manual lenses.

So in my opinion, you would only get your money back if sold as a kit to another starry eyed buyer. The two lenses or K1000 by themselves won't draw must interest. I think those two old zooms from the 80's are way outclassed by the DA18-55 and DA50-200.

As for weight, I hardly ever carry a bag with me if I'm outside. Camera and maybe an extra lens in a pocket or small lens bag.

re: being starry eyed - been there myself. I recently made a snap buy on ebay, just looking at the picture. When I read the text, I saw I had bought something that was guaranteed 99.99% busted and unfixable. Oh well, 30 bucks down the tubes.

The whole package arrives today by UPS, we shall see and I'll let ya guys know more when I get it along with first test shots, already have the AAs charged up. I'm assuming the 18-55 zoom was meant for the K100D and the other lenses are for the K1000.
