I must say it would be a brilliant idea to get him on a DSLR with the same lens mount as you. Get him started on a case of LBA and then you can get all the lenses you want with no fuss

Assuming that DH2B takes the bait and gets a DSLR and also develops an acute case of LBA, then coming up with gift ideas will not be a problem--birthday, Christmas, anniversary, just because.

My DH and I have been married for 8 years and while he likes taking pics, I can't get him past P&S. He has used my K10 a couple of times in green mode to take pics of me, but I can't even get him to use the zoom to fill the frame and make his shots better. His mom is the same way--like mother, like son, I guess. Oh well...
