Golden Hour, Blue Hour

I hope I am not the first to discover this "Twilight Calculator" on JeKoPhoto but I figured I should share it here with you all.
Essentially you input your location (Coordinates), mine were done automatically. Then select the info you want. ie. Sunrise/Sunset+Blue Hour+Golden Hour (w/ moon data).
The output is a wealth of information.

Check it out.

Two great apps for Andriod & Iphone for this type of information, I am sure almost everyone knows are:

The Photographer's Ephemeris

And my personal favorite, maybe not so well known but I like it better.

Ying Wen Technologies | Focused on mobile applications

This one you can use to plan future photo sessions.

Golden? Blue? In my part of the world it is often simply gray.

Depending on the clouds and time of year, we often get blue during the golden hour and gold during the blue hour. The key is whether the scene is dominated by skylight alone (sun probably not up) or by low-level sun.

Exactly Steve. I am in the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix Arizona. So the weather is the most predictable I've ever witnessed.

lol what about the pink hour? (yes I just made this up, but its interesting that the overcast day suddenly had a little window in the clouds and bathes the mountains in a pink light. I stopped the car on the first space I could and took a shot! Light changed in minutes)
These twilight hours really are very important for landscape photography, so a tool that gives you the info is great.
