Epson RX680, It's an all in one with HI Def printer. Really does a fantastic job.

I have a Canon iP6000D. Getting a little on in age, but a very good printer, nevertheless.

What Printer Do I have?

I use an old HP Deskjet 5650.

It gets the job done most of the time.

When I have something that I want a really nice print of, I send it out.

Just bought an Epson R2400 to replace my R800. Superb for B&W, still getting used to the different settings needed for colour (it uses a different ink system). Thirsty though...

I have:

1. Canon i9900 tabloid printer (Dye based inkjet...wished it was pigment based for durability).
2. Canon MP830 All in one that I bought for the versatile document feeder.
3. Samsung CLP 510 colour laser.
4. Epson PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition portable 4x6" printer.
5. Brother QL 550 label printer. (Does this count?)

I use #1 for up to 13x19" prints (Wished it was a pigment based printer. I haven't had too many issues with fading work so far though). #2 comes in handy for any document processing. Makes great looking photos with slightly less dynamic range then the i9900. I only wished both Canons used the same ink sets. #3 does jury duty for any "office" printing. I use #4 out in the field. I even bought a battery so I can print off the grid. Works nicely, pigmented prints and all, but painfully slow to print. Well, #5 is used strictly as a dedicated label printer as that is what it is.

The i9900 is aging a bit by now. Still don't see a dire need to replace it yet. The All in one is fairly new. Love the colour laser to tears. The Epson is nice, but slow as molasses. The brother I only use for label printing. If I had to upgrade one, the Epson would be gone in a heart beat if I knew there were faster options out there.

So there you have it.

I used to have an epson, which I liked, but I only tended to print once every month or so, and then had to each time spend a hour and lots of ink recalibrating it. PITA. So, now I just use online print services.

lol, can't say I've ever heard "hi-def" used in reference to printers. Maybe high resolution is the term you're after. And high resolution doesn't guarantee good print quality (ie, Lexmark... good to see noone has one hehe)

I have an HP Photosmart 7760, but it's starting to behave weirdly... It may be Vista related, or it may just be on the outs... It's great when it behaves right.

I'm probably going to be in a market for a new one in the next few months. Canon seems to be very popular in this poll. I've never had a Canon printer... hmmm...

I have used most all of them over the years. I currently use my Canons for photo printing. They are:

1. Canon i9900 wide carrage 13x19 inch
2. Canon ip6000D 8.5x11 inch
3. Canon ip4000 8.5x11 inch
4. Konica Minolta laser 1350W

I refill my own cartriges, since I use so much ink. It is very easy with the Canons. The only drawback is keeping the heads clean. I find new heads on Ebay from time to time.

HP 950C and Epson R220. I will usually only print 2-3 at home and get large numbers of shots done at Costco.

What kindof printer....

I had an HP phtosmart 1215. It worked beautifully with my IBM computer, which never worked when it could crash.

When I switched to eMac, which has never crashed in almost 5 years, the printer was less than happy. Eventually it began to cough and sneeze and act up. So I put it out to pasture and have just bought a Lexmark X9300 which does everything very well indeed. It is also much easier to use than the HP. It is a printer and scanner and fax which I may never use, and will scan directly from my Pentax K100d or from any one of 4 different cards. Etc. etc. etc.

So far so good.

Mickey
