Hi,

I have a K10D and have been using it lately to do some product shots.

I am using a light box and I think I am getting the hang of it.

The mode I am using is Manual mode. I tend to set the camera for an f22 and exposure time of 2"

It seems to be working fine and the shots aren't bad.

I wsa just playing around in PhotoMe and I noticed that under flash it says:

Flash: Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode

What exactly does this mean? I know the flash symbol is flashing on the camera as I work... but with my settings etc I was curious as to why it would want to force the flash or warn about the flash.

Is there a way I can turn off the flash so the camera will just operate and not prompt me for the flash?

I don't think so, but the K10D will not use its flash unless you lift up the flash head, so ignore the flashing lightning bolt in the viewfinder. I do.

The EXIF data is an "interesting" translation, nothing more.
