Lighting techniques

I just wrote a huge article on my blog about lighting techniques. I was hoping I could just copy and paste it here as I think it would be valuable info for everyone. Normally I would just rehash the post into a forum post and add the images...but there is a lot of images including diagrams.

So, if it's okay with the community... here is the link to the article:

LK1:1photoGRAPHICS: Lighting Setups with Caitlin @ The Photographer Studio.

I go over everything from a basic one light setup to a 4 light setup and different combos there of. While I'm not the most experienced in posing it could be valuable info to those that could use some lighting help.

thanks for the write up. I've been struggling with lighting inside because I don't have a studio nor do i have a lot of space in my house. I have a set of softboxes and I was practicing some boudior shots w/ my wife and the lighting was just...off. Need more trial and error. I don't have any backdrops or anything so i'm kinda getting over this mental block to break through and get great shots
