My Pentax AF280T flash head will tilt down 15% for taking closeups. I tried it out on my K-10 and my 50mm+36mm tube. It tilts down at just the right angle for that combo and has a low power setting for closeups. With a stofen omni bounce it does ok.

Hi Bluestringer,
Very good captures, great detail, color and sharpness!
I use my AF280T on the K10D also, the AF360FGZ goes on the K-5 when I take 2 bodies. The 280T has a few power adjustments if you fiddle with it, but really needs a diffuser or bounce; It tends to be harsh without one. I like that 15-degree down-tilt for macro, not all flashes have it.

Thanks Ron. Yes, the 280T needs a diffuser. I'm using a stofen omni bounce on mine, but it's not enough for closeups. I'm thinking of getting a small softbox if I can find one that doesn't block the sensor.
