Your Favorite PP apps?

I've been using DxO and Photoshop/Lightroom but I'm curious about Capture One.
Is anyone here using Capture One?
What's you're favorite?

I for work I frequently use Phocus, Lightroom and Capture 1. For my own work I just use Lightroom combined with Nik software plugins which I use for sharpening, colour and B&W effects..

For lighter retouch and adjustments I just use Aperture (with color Efex pro for filters, Dfine for noise reduction and PTlens for lens corrections)

For compositing or heavier retouching and reworking, I use Photoshop CS6 and a boat load of plugins I acquired over the years.

But I can say that 99% stays only in Aperture. I use to do it in Lightroom when I still had a PC.

I would like to learn Lightroom/Photoshop but find that FastStone seems to work for me for adjusting colors, contrast and the occasional crop.

For file management and quick adjustments I use Aperture.
Recently got DxO, which has some nice features, though sadly doesn't interact with Aperture. So, as Apple is discontinuing its software, I might switch to Lightroom.

Cleanup happens with Photoshop.

For heavier work I like using After Effects. Yes, that's a film tool, but I do love its workflow. It is resolution independent, so can do photos just as well. All filters are completely non-destructive and can be readjusted anytime. There's proxies for fast work yet full quality render. And all files are linked, which keeps projects very small so they can be used as presets, where I just exchange the source images and adjust filters.
Also, I know it rather well and have way more plugins for it than for Photoshop.

For me it's Lightroom and CC PS 2014, which seems to cover all I need to do.

I've been using Photoshop for 25 years, but I still quite cannot bring myself to call it a favorite. Lightroom holds that title. Though I marvel at Snapseed on my iPad and Microsoft Photosynth on my iPhone.

I know it going obsolete but I absolutely love Aperture. Before I hopped onto the Aperture bandwagon and after the obsolescence announcement I tried several programs like Lightroom, DxO, Topaz Adjust, and GIMP among many others. None offered me the ability to develop positives from my camera scanned film negatives and none are as easy to use for me. Aperture has a linear stacking of effects. I know one day I'll switch away from it but that may be a long ways off. My Mac will be a machine frozen in time.

On the negative side, Aperture is not nearly as powerful and intelligent as Lightroom. I have seen people do amazing things in Lightroom thanks to Adobe's software engineers coding furiously in background. Aperture's tools are simple and rely more on the user's manipulation of them.

I've been using Aperture ever since 3.0. For an external editor I use Pixelmator. If half the Internet didn't still require Flash, there wouldn't be any Adobe software on my computer.

Like Todd I do most of my work with RAWTherapee and GIMP, but I use Picasa for managing the shots
