For me, it depends on if it is sunny out as my normal eyeglasses lenses darken depending on how sunny it is (UV light). Chances are, when I am outside and its mid day, sunny or brightly overcast, my glasses go smokey or almost black. It's a fact of life in the Mediterranean to protect your eyes first, anything else is a second.

I dont seem to notice a problem with under or over exposing .

I take mine off except for the occasional quick snapshot. I wear glasses (trifocals) and take them off also. I have my diopter adjusted for my eyesight. I didn't start wearing glasses until my early 40's so I really haven't got used to taking pictures with glasses on. Autofocus is a great vision corrector. I have trouble seeing the info in the viewfinder with sunglasses on. Its just the way i'm used to using cameras

When I take the camera for a walk or if I have a scheduled shoot I have never worn sunglasses. I find it distracts from seeing what is really important. You could miss that little bit of shade in a spot that could either make a photo or break one. I guess I need to see the whole picture without being distracted.

Sunglasses lead me to overexpose everything, so I take them off. Glasses in general are a pain - unfortunately I need them, but keep contemplating contacts, solely so I can get right close to the viewfinder.

Either that, or I should get a monocle

I take my sunglasses off when I'm shooting, mostly because I don't like pressing the lens against the eyepiece.

I just put them on top of my head and move them back down as needed.
