Shooting: Sunglasses On or Off?

After seeing the below photo of Lance B, the 2008 Pentaxian of the Year, in another thread shooting with his sunnies on, I'd like to pose the question: Do you shoot with your sunglasses on or off, and why?

So far, I've always removed my sunnies when I've been shooting, since I feel that having my sunnies on when looking though the viewfinder won't give an accurate representation of what the photo looks like. Of course, that means removing my sunnies for taking shots which is annoying, or not wearing them at all. But if the 2008 Pentaxian of the Year does it, maybe it's not that big enough of an issue after all?

I shoot exclusively with m42 lenses and stop-down metering. Suffice to say the sunglasses come off.

I had this dillema last week.

Was out shooting on the local riverside in bright sunshine. I wear Reactolite / Polaroid lenses in my glasses anyway. Subsequently they had darkenned quite a lot and allowed me to see a lot of extra definition that had been lost in the bright sunshine.

I also had a Hoya Circular Polariser on my lens. Whenever I wanted to shoot I had to remove my glasses as the effect of having two polarisers in my field of view mean that everything looked almost black

The preview screen on the rear of the camera was almost totally unusable due to the intensity of the light so I had to rely almost solely on the histogram for the duration of that shoot.

It depends on if I'm wearing them or not.

If I happen to be wearing them, then yes.

my eyesight is good enough and my choice of sunglasses (15 dollar aviators) do not prohibit me from seeings what it is that i need to shoot.

I like having my eye right up to the eyecup, so no sunglasses for me...

I had to vote yes, but since I have Transitions lenses on my glasses, I don't have much choice. However I'd prefer not to wear sunglasses since more than once I've gone over shots later and they were a quite how I remembered them.

off, which unfortunately leads to me dropping them on the ground. so unless I absolutely need them I tend to leave them at home when im out and about with my cameras. I don't need to be losing or damaging a pair of ray-ban aviators.

Off for me as well, although I've broken a pair of sunglasses, and lost one pair in the snow because of it.

Off. Like other's I like having my eye right up to the viewfinder and like séamuis, I don't need to be losing a pair of not cheap Ray-Ban Aviators.

On. I wear glasses all the time so I never get my eye right up to the viewfinder anyway. So it's something I'm used to.

Off...I wear pretty heavy perscriptions (two sets of glasses, one for normal, one for close up...can't get the feel of bifocals), and usually wear cheap clip-on sunglasses outside, but take them off when shooting.
