Sir, technically that's a sport, though practically it's an excuse to go to a pub and drink beer after the formalities.
Plus my strict regimen of donuts and french fries will give me a stable launch platform I am sure.

Lots of great picture here ! Quite inspiring. I wan't to shoot more sports now

This one is from the same place as my previous picture https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/38-photographic-technique/275291-sports-p...ml#post2970793, the "Gorge du Verdon", south of France. (the previous post gives the GPS location of the climbing spot. Otherwise the town is "La palud sur Verdon").

Taken with MZ-5n, DA*55 (what else ?) probably between f2.5 and f4, 1/60 to 1/125, Fuji Superia 200, overexpose 2/3 Ev with center weighted metering.

A beautiful and quiet place, but with hordes of mosquitoes ! The climbing is exceptional, rock is clean and solid.

The girl was trying to do the "route" (climb to the top without falling, and following a predermined path). the "route" is more or less were the rock is a bit gold colored.
She fell once, rested a bit, tried again, with so much rage and anger, that we could hear the rock screaming of pain from being pinched to hard

With the weather turning cold here lately my thoughts are turning to the upcoming ski season.
Here a photo from last season of some ski tourers climbing Mt. Emmons to ski Red Lady Bowl, a popular backcountry route here. The peak on the left in the background is Mt. Crested Butte (the ski area).

Lots of good stuff here!
Let me share a fairly old picture taken 2008 during the only baseball game I have ever watched in a real stadium in Pittsburgh.
I have used top notch gear: Pentax istD2 with an old manual focus Tokina 2.8/80-200.
That shot was taken at f4, 1/1000 sec and iso 800.

And a good one, given where you were sitting.

K5 with DA*300 F4 Spot focus. I had to duck the sticks and stone after every competitor passed. No dust in my camera though.

The final football game of the season for us started with a few drops of rain which increased for a while forcing me to move into the press box and shoot some. Here are shots I got before moving up. Shot with my K3 and Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 manual mode ISO 3200.
