Anybody use a Promaster Macro Focusing Rail?

I am trying to give my local camera stores money and I am thinking of a focusing rail.

Promaster Kiwi FC-1 Macro Focusing Rail at Hunts Photo & Video - 100 Main Street - Melrose, MA 02176

Anybody have an opinion on it?

Thanks.

I got something just the same, but it cost about half that. Comes under many names. It is pretty solid though -- sometimes the screw holding the rails together gets loose and needs tightening, that's about it. (It can be used a single rail also.)

Just bought one myself, have not had a chance to use it. It was recommended by someone on the PMDL as being as being well made and a good value for the price. I agree with him.

I got my rails from HK - for 20€ incl. postage.

And they are good enough.

Have used this product for a couple of years. Is adequate for the job. Can be a bit inaccurate in micro adjustments at very high magnification if you were to do image stacking.

I have an unnamed one (mfg tag fell off) that's the twin to this - paid around 1/3 to 1/2 of what Hunt's is asking. Do an ebay search and you'll find dozens for a lot less - all appear to be the same.
