Thanks everyone for the support.

The last few months have been very exciting. The national press here in Ireland have also covered the story. YThis snippet below was featured on page 3 of the the Irish news.

That is seriously cool, you could end up with a book to publish... And a very nice writeup in the paper. Congrats!

Congratulations Andy. A lot of very hard work required to accomplish this. Enjoy the limelight - you deserve it. A book does sound good.
thanks

Despite what seems to be a glaring grammatical error 'In the shadow of Giant's', it's great that you were published, I remember seeing some earlier shots over on DP review.

I wonder about the magazine staff though :S

Nicely done. Great series of images. Did you research the old images to discover your vantage points - or did you just get inspired.

Congratulations Andy. Amazing photographs.

You make me wish that I was including County Antrim in my upcoming trip. But alas, it's going to be Dublin, then off to Galway and Mayo with a couple of days in a cottage in Connemara. Then up through Sligo to Lough Gill (yes and Inishfree) before heading back to Dublin. But I imagine I'll find a couple of interesting things to photograph while I'm there. Any suggestions?

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

PDL, I did a lot of research to find some of the old views, photographs and etchings.

I didn't stick religously to the old material. If a better vantage point was available then I took it. But the main idea was that my new photographs would compliment the old artwork and would be in a similar style.

Straightshooter, you will enjoy the photography on offer all down the atlantic west coast. Fantastic light in the evenings. I don't know those areas terribly well but I've visited Galway a few times and you will love it out west there.

Andy
