The control unit on the Polaroid looks identical to the Meike FC110, which is otherwise the same as the FC100, except that it has 18 jumbo LEDs instead of 32 little ones. The FC110 (and maybe some later versions of the FC100?) has an LCD panel on the control unit instead of LEDs. The FC110 is listed as being a little bit brighter than the FC100 - it may actually deliver GN18 where the FC100 struggles to get GN15. Neither one is fast enough to be called a "flash" - more of a "light that turns on, then off".

My humble advice

1. If you want a ring flash for macro, my opinion is all the auto stuff is a complete waste. I only use manual settings. It is easy enough to zero in to the correct settings. Godox has a really cheap ring flash. I have a couple of their big guns which are great. Their ring flash is really really cheap and of course manual. With no auto rubbish it is really easy to use and change its light intensity.
2. LED setups are really nice for fill light. They are good for those people who hate dark backgrounds for macro flashes. My LED ring light does not have any impact on normal light settings and is useless in full sun contrasting light.

I did some research and it seems the Polaroid is a rebadged Travor. It looks like they've added another model since I last looked. The RF-550D has a listed GN of 15, the RF-600D at 21.
