Hey Gang,

I am looking to boost the local traffic hitting my website, but the last thing I want to do is start "paying per click". I've heard Search Engine Optimization is a good place to start, basically catering a website to target search keywords....that about the extent of my understanding. I'm on the verge of an overhaul of my site and I thought it would be worth while to incorporate some aspects and techniques of SEO.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm more than willing to put in the legwork for researching the process, but thought I would start here as the many knowledgable members here may start me down the right path with resourses and what-not that may have run across.
