macro spider

took with Panagor 55 macro f2.8, same lens as vivitar 55 or elicar 55 macro.

Bluestringer gotten very good result. To reinforce that its a low cost macro lens which I bought at less than us100 and the performance it gives, my often used macro, reason being its light and portable, good especially for critters that is not sensitive to me getting near, like weavers ant..

taken with tubes about 50mm/25 mm. flashlight.

If its vivitar 55 or panagor macro or elicar, just go for it..Affordable cost and excellent performer.

The 1st shot was crop. Yes taken with tubes. should be a pka 25 mm, if I remembered correctly.

Lighting plays a very important role in macro, for me. Have it diffused with a soft output, sufficient to illuminate subject, just as bluestringer did. its there.

tks.

Great shots Marcus. The 55 2.8 macro is a great lens, I love mine. I haven't tried it with tubes yet. You do have to have a subject that is not skittish as the working distance is really close at 1:1 macro.

That is an odd looking hover fly. Never saw one like that around here.

Saw your shots and its a great perspective.

When I started macro, I was into reverse ring initially followed by the brass cheapo tube from ebay and slowly progress to others. Its good for you to start whatever you are comfortable and slowly enjoy it... that is the fun part.

Yes, I gotten this lens maybe 4 yrs ago and I love this being light and travel with me each time I gone out of the country for tour, the lightest and most convenient lens to bring along which produces sharp and nice bokeh as well. Thumb up for low price and great performance lens.

Putting on a 25mm tubes, will decrease the minimum focus distance and almost not possible to capture in horizontal position. You may have to tilt 45 degrees downward to capture the subject.

I love this lens for capturing weavers ant and the close distance will cause the ants pincers to come up to challenge me and that's when I capture that moment.

sample captured with panagor macro with flash light/ single shot.

posted this before and it was taken with the same lens with 25 tubes with flash and diffusers.

I think the housefly was cropped slightly. The second one is the original shot.

the spider below is the original uncrop version with tubes
