What to use to writing on fingers / shoes?

Hi, looking to do a shoot and write the year on their fingers / soles of their shoes, can't come up with anything that would wash off easy and would also look good for the picture. Can anyone recommend something? (thought of grease pens, water based markers...)

Crayola makes wash off markers. They can be found at Target, Walmart, most toy and craft stores. They're made to wash off just about everything including skin.

Do it in post processing with photo shop. I often have people hold a blank framed black board then add the info they want in PP.
