easy website ideas?

i'm trying to update my site, currently it's running as a blog using drupal, but i think it'd be better to have it as a portfolio/gallery setup. i was thinking of using autoviewer and simpleviewer, but not really sure how to setup a complete site. should i just have each gallery on a separate html file or is there a script i can use that can handle everything for me? i really like some of the site that integrate simpleviewer (and other flash galleries) but not sure exactly how to do it myself :S

Hi, i've just updated my site here's what i use:

250Mb Web Host - 20€/year (you can probably get better prices with us hosting, i prefer a local company)
.com domain - 6€/year
Wordpress Blog - Free
Wordpress theme monotone - Free

Total ~26€/year

here's the result, very simple: blog.soeusei.net

you can choose whatever theme for wordpress you like, there are many gallery themes you can choose for free, it's very easy to maintain, that's why i chose wordpress.

I also host some photos on flickr or on zenfolio because a 250Mb hosting is a bit limited.

I use simpleviewer a lot and also a couple of others that integrate with picasa to export flash albums. A bunch of templates are here...

19 Free Picasa Flash and HTML templates to showcase your photo

I authored my site with a WYSIWYG editor because I have zero knowledge of html or other coding. I used Site Spinner. A simple program but versitile enough.

Something to consider for your application would be a blog that links to simpleviewer that you host with a remote server. The blog would act as your homepage with the galleries a separate entity if you will.
