Pls critique. Its a small world amidst pine straw.

With K-01 and SMC Pentax-A 50mm F2.8 Macro @f5.6,ISO100,1/3sec, tripod.

I think it's stunning! The mushrooms look translucent, and the color is beautiful!

Very well done!

Really nice color
The only slight critique i have is that I probably would crop-out the top quarter, right above the curling stick

I really like the composition and the low angle perspective. My only suggestion for improvement is to crop the top enough to eliminate the distracting straw intruding in the upper right corner of the shot.

Is that bokeh in the background natural, or was it processed in some way? It looks a bit peculiar to me, sort of posterized, although it's not egregious.

Well done, can be tricky getting good photographs of these fellas, beautiful composition, angle and colours, not much to add other than I agree with Darylk, perhaps a crop of the top to give the main star of the show more impact.

Superb image. Don't crop it -- the simpler bokeh and the warm smear of colour through the top section gives the image depth. Perhaps you could clone out the distracting straw to keep darylk happy

I would not crop either. The bokeh is amazing; I love the way it "feels".

You nailed that. I'd frame it.

Very nice... did you shoot this at different ƒ-stops? I'm wondering what ƒ8 or ƒ 11 might have been better. When I take shots like this I usually start at ƒ2.8 and go up from there. Not saying it would have been better, but I do find I often don't anticipate which is going to be the image I like.

I did. But f5.6 being the sweet spot made me keep this. ALso the DOF change between f5.6 and f8-11 wasn't meaning fully better. So I just picked the one that gave me a cleaner shot.

So here is the much needed cropped version.
