This might be useful to some:

Thanks! That was a quick read, that stayed on the topic of white balance.

I venture away from the AWB setting, and sometimes forget to check before I start firing away. But that's fun too.

That was a good read!I have nothing against Canon shooters other than I mostly just don't like them!

I usually adjust the Raw image to the temperature that best reaches the desired look I am after. I am one that prefers "warm" images...while some prefer cool. Many times the absolute "correct" temperature is not conducive to the IQ of the shot, so I make the change necessary.

Regards & Thanks for the article!

I rarely adjust WB before shooting... just sometimes when there's peculiar lighting and I want to get a baseline: in those cases I even use the fine adjustment, trusting the LCD.
Otherwise, it's done in the converter after the fact.
Interesting read nonetheless.

P.S. ...I have (2) Pentax's..yet (3) Canon's...so guess I'm a Cantax user...(the Canon's are used ONLY for Astro Imaging..don't use 'em for terrestrial)...

actually, that's not quite true..I also still have a Pentax MX 35mm & (2) Olympus OM1's...so guess I'm a Pencanpus???
