The Bigma (50-500) is a great lens. It's a little slow at the long end, but it gives great image quality. The new 150-500 apparently isn't out yet, and I'm not sure if it will be available in Pentax mount. Probably eventually, but not initially.
Sigma also makes a 170-500 that is reportedly close in image quality to the Bigma, and it costs less. The Bigma is one of Sigma's "EX" lens (the top of their line, quality-wise) and I don't believe the 170-500 is.
BTW, when quoting aperture values, it's customary to quote both ends of the range (i.e. the Bigma is f/4-6.3). By just saying "f/4", it implies that it's a constant aperture throughout the zoom range, which is a much more expensive arrangement, because it's very desirable. I started to get excited when I saw a Sigma 50-500 f/4 lens mentioned. 500mm at f/4.0 would be sweet....until I imagined the price tag!
