I don't... only grab the camera for a specific reason.

I have noticed there's a chance for a decent pic out my window at work (weather conditions aligning with the gods!) but if anyone saw me point a camera out the window they'd think I'm weird!

Yes. I have a compact Tamrac backpack that has become such a fixture on my back, I mentally check for it as I would my wallet when leaving places. I put it in a small garbage bag when we go rafting down the river or on a lake. Its with me at work... I (used to) read the manual in the can. I walk everywhere (live & work downtown) so I bring my camera even if I'm just going for a case of beer. Its times like that I usually find my weeds and flowers along the way, and I take different ways depending on the time of day because of how the light is hitting things.

My fave three lenses are usually with me, but that list changes as I incorporate new glass or reintegrate old favourites.

Currently: Zeiss T*25/2.8 Distagon, Voigtlanders 58/1.4 Nokton and 125/2.5 Lanthar. Also filters & cleaning stuff.

If I'm out specifically to shoot, I pack to suit the occasion so lenses vary, but I sometimes bring my tripod - Gitzo 2540EX and Markins Q3 ball, which strap onto the side of my pack.

Yes, I carry a camera with me everyday. Usually, it's my K10D with one lens. That lens varies depending on my mood, but it's either my kit lens, an M50mm f1.7, and M85mm f2, or an A35-105mm f3.5.

Unless it's a routine dash to the store or pub I carry my K100D Super with a Vivi 105mm. A bit heavy but I cannot do without the quality. If I know I'm going to be inside I might take the FA43mm Limited as well. Otherwise the second lens is the DA16-45mm.

My kit is usually in the car with me wherever I go....

Mostly the:

21ltd
FA28/2.8
FA50/1.7,
1.7x AF
and my newly acquired 50-135.

I also just bought a small handy little bag which houses my ds and 28-70/4 for going light.

I voted no for a specific reason, your definition is do you have an SLR and a few lenses always. For that specific question, the answer os no because I carry a back up P&S.

If I turn my back 120 degrees I can see a K100D with a Tokina AF 70-210 mounted to it, and a Sigma 18-50 next to that. My walk-around kit.

EDIT: With my ME coming on Monday, I'll also have two bodies with me at all times.

Well, not EVERYWHERE: I don't usually take a camera with me to the toilet for example.

But to work, or the usual rounds: sometimes it is a Fuji F10, sometimes a Yashica T4. Then, there's a rotation of vintage cameras: a Kodak Retina, a Voigtlander Bessa 66 mainly, though I HAVE walked around with one of the TLRs fairly often. For 'real' cameras (35mm SLR) I tend to rotate based on what has film in it and what lens I want to play with. Usually I only take 1 lens, I like to limit myself that way. Due to its weight and bulk I only rarely take the K100D.

I took out the inner stuffing from an old camera bag and put that at the bottom of my work backpack (or shoulder bag, when I use it).

Today I have my Spottie with a 28 Tak, since it is my new lens, and unusually I packed a 50/1.4 Tak as well because I'll be taking pictures of the kids at daughter's camp (I hope).

I carry a KODAK DX7590 5 mp Electronic Viewfinder camera.

It has a 38-380mm F2.8-3.2 lens and full manual controls.

I have a filter adaptor and close up lenses for it for technical investigations, and if I want to take it, a 0.45x wide angle adaptor, to convert it to a 17-170mm lens with no loss of F-stop.

this mini kit is always in my breifcase when I travel.

Since getting the K200D, pretty much.

K200D + 18-200 Tamron, with 70-300 in the bag too.

I'll carry the better lenses if i'm going on a photoshoot.

I try to take my K10 and a few lenses to work most days and I always have my Optio WP in a cell phone holster on my belt.

Most of the time (90%+) I have a Pentax sling bag with the following kit:

*ist DS2, Pentax 18-55, Sigma 24-60 2.8, Tamron 70-300 LD Di, SMC-A 50mm 1.4, Kenko SHQ PZ-AF 1.4X TC, AF330-FTZ flash, and then some odds and ends.

My always in the car camera is a Fuji E510 P&S.

Everyone I work with already knows I'm weird, so this is not an issue. Seriously though, this fear (of being thought weird) does keep me from shooting a lot of bug macros at work - "What's he crawlin' around down there for?"

My camera? Always (almost). K200D, DA 10-17FE, DA 18-250, Sigma 24/2.8, SMC Takumar 28/3.5, SMC Takumar 50/1.4, Tamron 90/2.8 macro... No wonder that bag's so heavy!

I have a 35mm nearby 24/7. When I'm out and about, I usually have the K200d, FA 50 f1.4, 55-300mm and a macro and sometimes the kit lens in the Pentax sling pack.
