That's pretty cool. I'll have to put that on my list of things to do when I'm off work this summer. Right now, I have my own English and Humanities courses to teach.

Thanks for the link

I started watching module 1, and have to say I cringed when the lecturer said "all an SLR really means is that you can take off the lenses... you can change the lenses"...

Still, I'll try a few of the modules and see how it goes!

Find Courses by Topic | MIT OpenCourseWare | Free Online Course Materials

MIT has some on OCW too. I only took 21W.749 (Documentary photography), but the exercises listed on the page are both interesting and useful. Some OCW courses have videos as well.

e.g.

The course that the original post refers to is hosted at Alison. It is videotaped in 2009 and some of it is pretty dated, especially the discussion of the latest equipment (mainly Canon btw.). You can watch the videos from the 2015 version of the course on the course website at http://digitalphotography.exposed/ Although it seems to be more or less the same material with the same instructor the 2015 videos are of much better quality and you can watch them directly on Youtube instead of the Alison system (which is full of ads and frankly not very nice).
