Digiscoping Livescreen?

We've got a family of hawks nesting in our tallest palm tree and i need a setup that will let me show the momma hawk and her babies to a group of little kids, live.

I want to use a spotting scope or long lens attached to my K5IIs, then show the image on the camera screen, or even better, on an ipad or tablet???

Is it possible to do something like this? If so, what do i need?

I was considering purchasing an old A 400mm lens, but i dont thino that will allow me to do livescreen, right? Will an FA lens, or so i need a DA?

Please help! 12 little kids REALLY want to see this hawk family, and I'm willing to spend to make that happen.

Thank you all for the advice. Much appreciated!!!

As far as I know all lenses should work with live view, why wouldnt you just use the hdmi and plug it into a tv or computer screen?

This will work, though resolution will be limited to that of the rear LCD (~780x1175)

You could connect a 7" monitor to it.

Like a computer monitor? I'm thinking some kind of mobile tablet woild be best so i don't have to worry about running power lines and such.

Without wifi built into the camera you'll need a screen or device with an hdmi in port, that's why I suggested the screen.

Most tablets with hdmi ports are purely set up so you can attach a screen to them rather then the other way around.

A small (7" or so) battery powered screen/monitor or car monitor with an hdmi input will work as suggested, people use them for framing shots in film making.

There may be some tethering option for the k52s which I'm not aware of, but to my knowledge the hdmi out is the simplest option.

There are monitors made just for connecting to a DSLR, sort of like Live View Plus. I believe with a longer cable you can get the monitor close tot he kids, and have the camera where the action is.
