Macro Pentax 50mm F2.8 Macro

Natural light , Camera In P mode ..

The next picture is of the same scene but @ F22 with a flash ..

It's winter here in Melbourne Australia ( wet and overcast ) ..
But for the longest time I have wanted to add the Pentax A 50mm F2.8 Macro lens to the collection .. ( Done it at last )
It is winter , so there really is not much to photograph in the way of insects .

Hopefully I will do a comparison with the M 50mm F4 macro lens . ( Which is a nice lens )

Nice! I'm just about in the earth's opposite (summer begins tomorrow) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Love your "winter"! Wish my winter was as lush. Great pics and you're doing it proper. Old school lens and an awesome subject, even in "winter" is lovely. Kudos, and thanks for sharing!

Looking forward to your comparison. I'm hoping to compare my S-M-C Takumar 50mm, S-M-C Takumar 100mm macro and my Sigma 70mm 2.8 macro. I believe the M equivalents of the Takumars share the same optics, do they not? I've always wondered about getting hold of A series macros; I'm quite enjoying the bright viewfinder and live view that automatic diaphragm provide with the Sigma. I'm also discovering some deficiencies in my technique!

I am not sure about individual lenses . I do know there was some variation .. ( but what with what lens ? )
