Surprising that everyone missed out Nick Brandt... Or maybe I missed out a post that mentioned Nick Brandt.

Pentax was at the top of the heap back in 60's and part of of the 70's. Many famous people including 'The Beatles' were proud to show off their Pentax camera's in public. Not so much these days....

He is most famous for using an 8x10 field camera with glass plates. In later years I believe he used an Olympus OM-4 when he didn't have room for the 8x10

because he complained that the OM-4's instruction manual did not explain the correct use of its spot metering mode. He knew how to use it of course - he was the world's leading authority on the subject - but he was concerned about newbies mis-using it.

He did use the Pentax digital spotmeter when applying his zone system.
