My 17-50 f2.8 is my most used lens when doing weddings. It is versatile and fast. Just stay calm and remember than your back LCD lies to you. The photos will be alright. Attend the rehearsal if at all possible and rely on your knowledge of the flow of how weddings go to put yourself in the right place at the right time. Have fun!
My last wedding, shot 25 years after the previous one and my first with digital, I made some serious changes after the rehearsal. The rehearsal was absolutely indispensable in having the right gear for the big day.
