Because we have 1/10th of the population but we have more than 1/10th of the members.

At least that was my read.

Zplus, it's a per capita thing. Divide the country's population by the level of attendence here. While the US, has the largest attendance here, when the population size is considered, the Canadians are more active.

I would think it would be either a Euro or Asian country with more Pentax users, it just happens there are more NAs on this forum. This is not the only Pentax forum, i'm on another which has a huge following also, it's just not dedicated to Pentax users only like here.

These numbers are really skued though because of posting volume. If you look at the members list, Roentarre is the biggest poster (Au) and then followed by yours truely and then Daacon and then Little Laker all three of which are Canucks.

So out of a total of 374,719 posts to date the 2nd, 3rd and 4th highest volume members account for 14,082 posts or 3.76% of the activity here but are 0.000273% of the membership (3/10969 members).

That's going to throw the numbers way off.
Plus since the posts are in English, it excludes many who can read the posts but not comfortable with posting. (I wish they would anyway even if the lanuage is tough)

The stats Adam supplied were for unique IP addresses in the last month. So long term, high-posting members will not affect the stats unless they are using a different IP each visit (dial-up). I'm an ADSL user, and while I have a dynamic IP, it does not change often. I don't know if this situation of a semi-static IP is common.

Perhaps, we have a lot of Canuck lurchers who haven't posted yet?
