I had this done in 1975, and it was the best $130 I ever spent. I was living in North Carolina at the time, and it was a state law (according to the doctor), that the husband had to get the wife's notarized permission for the surgery. After the surgery, the doctor gave me a box of 24 "protectors" and told me to come back for testing once they were gone. I told him I would be back the next week.

As another member of the 'snip' club I must say I have no regrets. Well, maybe one small one. I made the mistake of riding my motorcycle to the hospital to have the procedure done. It was a slow, painful ride home.

No regrets here either. I must be an ironman though, didn't need ice, didn't even pick up the painkiller perscription. Kept some gauze on the...er...affected area for about a week and everything healed up nice.
